The Wayne County Office of the Sheriff reports the arrest of a Clyde man following the report of assault of a neighbor on August 6th.
Howard L. Lainhart, 47, of Clyde, was arrested on charges for assault in the third degree, menacing in the second degree, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree and a warrant issued out of the Wayne County Family Court for failing to pay child support.
Lainhart was arrested following an incident where he assaulted a neighbor with a belt in the presence of two children.
Lainhart was arrested and brought to Wayne County Jail to await arraignment.
