State police: Williamson man held on $10K bail after rape arrest

New York State Police report the arrest of a Wayne County man after investigating a sexual assault.

Dakota M. Tifft, 20, of Williamson was charged with first-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child.

It is alleged that Tifft forcibly raped the victim while a young child was present.

He was arraigned at Wayne County Centralized Arraignment and held in lieu of $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond.

Troopers said Tifft is scheduled to appear in the Town of Williamson Court on August 6, 2021, at 12:00 p.m.
