Business is booming for the Fingerlakes Mall in Auburn

Finger Lakes Mall has a full calendar for the upcoming months as well as some new stores.

The Auburn Hunger Task force has set up in the Finger Lakes Mall to use a kitchen to serve food to member of the community in need.

While they aren’t serving food to the public in the mall, they’ll be hosting various fundraisers to make money to put back into the Hunger Task Force.

Rosalie’s Hidden Treasures is also opening this August in the mall. Their products include crafts and decorative items.

Spirit Halloween is set to open August 8.

Events are also being booked at the Finger Lakes Mall.

The Syracuse Stamp and Scrapbook Show will be July 30-31 in the former J.C. Penney location. Tickets can be purchase at

September 18 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. is the second Fingerlakes Mall Car Cruise-In, a free event.

September 25 will be the mall’s Family Fun Day, which includes a bounce house.

Thursday evenings is Purple Lancers Bingo and doors open at 5 p.m. before the bingo starts at 7 p.m.

Friends Helping Friends is also hosting various events including their School Supply Giveaway August 21. Preregistration is required to make sure they have enough for everyone. The event is open to all Cayuga County students who aren’t receiving help from other distributions.

Friends Helping Friends will also be hosting a Trunk-or-Treat event from 1-4 p.m. on October 30 in the parking lot. The donation asked is $1 per child or a nonperishable food item or hygiene product. The money goes towards a project that helps low-income families for Christmas.
