Finger Lakes Health is hosting a summer long virtual golf tournament.
The tournament is called 108 Holes for Hearts and participants are asked to play 108 holes at any location between now and September 19th.
The money raised will be donated to patients in the Cardiac Rehab program in the form of scholarships for services they otherwise couldn’t afford.
Helen Kelley who works with the Finger Lakes Health Foundation said that close to 45% of patients between Geneva and Soldiers and Sailors Hospital in the cardiac program need the financial support.
Cardiac Rehab Coordinator, Sue Conroy, explains that the rehab is a 12 week course with exercise and education for individuals who have been diagnosed with various heart issues or diseases, including recent surgeries.
