Penn Yan Academy has created its first ever Distinguished Alumni Award.
The award will be presented in the fall at the annual Academic Excellence Ceremony.
The award will go to an individual that has worked selflessly for a cause or earned a high academic achievement in their field of study after high school.
In order to qualify, a candidate needs to have been out of school for at least 10 years.
The award can also be presented to a person that has taught at Penn Yan and had a deep impact for a minimum of 20 years.
Nominations are being accepted until August 15th and forms will be available at pycsd.org, the social media sites for the school district, or by emailing [email protected].
