Airports in New York will redirect attention to guns, knives, explosives and away from marijuana

Police in New York will no longer be confiscating marijuana or making arrests over a low-level possession in airports throughout the state.

The focus is being redirected to seize guns, knives and explosives according to the security director of 15 airports in New York.

They’ll still check to make sure people have under the legal limit of 3 ounces, and if they do no tickets will be issued.
