The Penn Yan American Legion is looking for local recipients that have earned the Purple Heart award in the military for a celebration on August 7.
If anyone is or knows someone who is a recipient they can contact the legion with information including the soldier’s name and information on the Purple Heart they earned.
Active duty, veterans and deceased are all being honored.
