Alabama Army base requires proof of vaccine if soldiers choose to not wear a mask

Soldiers at Fort Rucker in Alabama are required to show proof of vaccination if they choose to go without facemasks.

The state is seeing an uptick of Covid-19 cases, and the measure was put in place on Tuesday. Any soldier without a mask may be asked to show their vaccination card.

Scott Harris, the Alabama State Health Officer says the rise in cases is likely due to the low vaccine rates and spread of the Delta variant.
