Wyoming County woman charged after causing $16,632 in damage to her hospital room

A woman who reportedly damaged a hospital room in Wyoming County is now facing charges.

Mary K. Coyne is reported to have barricaded herself in her hospital room at the Wyoming County Community Health System emergency department when she caused $16,632 in damage on June 25.

She was subdued by police and emergency personnel and transferred to the Erie County Medical Center.

She later escaped, and after a warrant was issued, she turned herself in on June 29.

She was arraigned in Warsasw Village Court on felony second-degree criminal mischief then released.

Coyne is due to return to court on July 12.
