A multicounty chase with New York State Police on Sunday around 3 p.m. has landed a person in custody.
A driver failed to comply to a traffic stop on I-86 in Chemung County and took off.
Troopers gave chase into Steuben County and discovered the vehicle was stolen after running the license plate.
The driver crashed into a fence behind Corning Middle School and was not hurt.
The driver is facing charges that include criminal possession of a stolen vehicle, reckless endangerment, driving while ability impaired and other traffic infractions.
