The Dansville Board of Trustees have voted on a six-month moratorium on the construction of solar farms in the village of Dansville.
This temporarily halts current construction until local law governing solar development with the town’s borders is created.
Delaware River Solar temporarily pulled their application for the development of a solar farm in Dansville’s Industrial Park until they can begin working on it again.
The Board of Trustees wants to create these laws to keep Dansville safe in the event that the project goes under. By creating laws they can be sure the construction would not fall into disrepair or land solely on taxpayers money to be completed.
