Deputies report the arrest of a 27-year-old Farmington man following an investigation into animal cruelty.
A 3-year-old American Bulldog named Buddy began to limp and had a large swollen welt on his head after Marcus Goodwin, 27, of Farmington violently struck- and dragged the dog by its leash.
He’s accused of becoming irate after his dog began playing with several other dogs on June 12 around 8 a.m. at a location on Corporate Drive in Farmington.
Buddy was seized by the Humane Society and taken to an area veterinarian for an exam and treatment. He’s now under their care, according to investigators.
Goodwine was arrested and charged with animal cruelty. He was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charges at a later date.
