Former IMSA President Scott Atherton has been chosen to be the Grand Marshall for the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen on Sunday, June 27. The event celebrates the return of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship endurance race after a year off from Covid.
Atherton has almost 35 years of leadership experience in motorsports. This includes serving as President of IMSA for 20 years, President and CEO of Panoz Motor Sports Group, President at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, Nazareth Speedway, Auto Club Speedway, and co-leading the American Le Mans Series through the merger with the Grand American Road Racing Association under the IMSA banner.
Atherton is on the Board of IMSA and an Advisor to the IMSA management team.
