The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies investigated a personal injury crash that happened at the intersection of State Route 88 and State Route 104 in the town of Sodus on Saturday around 11:30 a.m.
Deputies say Amy Johnson, 59, was traveling west on Route 104 when she attempted to make a left turn onto Route 88. She failed to yield to a vehicle traveling east on Route 104, which resulted in a collision.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and had to be towed from the scene.
Deputies say Johnson complained of shoulder pain and was transported to Rochester General Hospital. The driver of the second vehicle, who was not identified by police, also suffered injuries resulting in them being transported to Rochester General Hospital.
Johnson was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way. The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by Sodus Town Ambulance, Silver Waters Ambulance, Sodus Fire Department, and East Williamson Fire Department.
