If you own a restaurant there is billions in federal aid being set aside to help.
Altogether there is $28.6 billion in relief available, which was passed through the last COVID package.
“Hopefully, at some point in June, money will be in our restaurateurs’ hands so they can stay alive, stay open until god-willing COVID is over and the streets are full and the restaurants are full once again,” Sen. Chuck Schumer said.
Without the funds, it could be hard for some restaurants to get operating again.
Those in the restaurant and hospitality space say money isn’t as big a factor as operational restrictions. They say once those are loosened- then businesses can thrive.
