Driver pleads guilty to vehicular homicide after crash that killed Ovid man

A Junius man will spend 5-15 years behind bars after admitting he was intoxicated when he drove into a utility truck last year- killing a Spectrum employee.

District Attorney Mark Sinkiewicz said Jon Lamere pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide.


He’s scheduled to be sentenced on June 30.

Paul Kelley, 49, of Ovid was killed in the crash on Burgess Rd.

Lamere was intoxicated, speeding, and using a cell phone at the time of the crash.
