Syracuse lacrosse, insistent this week it was not looking beyond Albany, handled its business and avoided lugging a long losing skid into a pivotal stretch of its season.
There are bigger fish to nab as SU looks to strengthen its NCAA tournament resume, and it will get its chance to reassert itself in the ACC pecking order starting with next week’s game against North Carolina.
On this night, five days after a humbling loss to Notre Dame that knocked it down the rankings, the No. 9 Orange turned in a relatively clean performance in a 13-8 victory against unranked Albany.
