Yankees’ Aaron Judge ‘under the weather,’ expected to be ready for Opening Day

Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge has been out of action since Saturday, but is simply “under the weather” and is expected to be in the lineup on Opening Day.

Manager Aaron Boone said during Monday’s game that Sunday was a planned off day for Judge, and when he told the team on Monday morning that he wasn’t feeling well, he was quickly put through COVID protocols.

Everything came back negative, and Yankee fans can all breathe a collective sigh of relief.

Any little issue that’s conveyed, you’ve got to act a little larger to,” general manager Brian Cashman said. “We just sent him through all the [COVID] protocols and thankfully we’ve eliminated everything other than, every now and then, you come up not feeling very well.”

Cashman even speculated that Judge might be suffering from allergies, but regardless, all signs point to go for the Yankee slugger come Thursday.
