Deputies in Wayne County report the investigation of a one-car personal injury crash that happened on Rt. 31 in the town of Palmyra on Saturday.
Around 5:45 a.m. deputies responded to Rt. 31 for the crash, where 44-year-old Samantha Lapointe, of Farmington lost control of her vehicle on a snow-covered roadway.
Her car went off the south side of the road- striking several trees before coming to rest on its side in a ditch. She had to be extricated from the vehicle and transported to Strong Memorial Hospital.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by Newark and Port Gibson fire departments. The investigation remains under investigation at this time.
