This year’s Wayne County boys and girls league championships were decided through end of season tournaments which culminated in a pair of championship games last night.
The Lyons Lions defeated Gananda 80-56 at the Atwood Gymnasium in Lyons to capture the 2021 Wayne County Boys League Championship. Coach Dean Schott’s Lions now turn their attention to next week’s Section V Class C1 tournament where they will be the #1 seed and attempt to win a fourth straight sectional title.

In the girls bracket, the East Rochester Bombers defeated Gananda by a score of 80-56. East Rochester captures the 2021 Wayne County Girls League Championship. The Bombers will be top seed in the girls bracket of the Section V Class C1 tournament.
