DA’s office drops felony charge against Geneva man

The Ontario County District Attorney’s Office has dropped a felony charge, which had been filed against a Geneva man after a December arrest.

Rafael Diaz-Diaz, 57, was charged with second-degree attempted criminal sex act by Geneva city police.

District Attorney Jim Ritts told the Finger Lakes Times that the charges “were withdrawn without prejudice as we investigate further.”

He declined to comment further, noting that the investigation was still active.
