On Tuesday around 2:44 p.m. police arrested Chelsea Ticer, 31, of Seneca Falls following a child abuse report that was received by the department.
The complaint alleged that Ticer was under the influence of drugs while caring for a child. During an investigation, police say that Ticer was caring for the child in an environment where contolled substances and marijuana were being used.
In the press release, police did not accuse Ticer of using drugs directly.
Police said she was charged with unlawfully dealing with a child, endangering the welfare of a child, criminal poassession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Police said the 11-month-old did not have any visible injuries, and was turned over to a family member.
Seneca County Child Protective Services is involved in the investigation.
