Five hospitalized after driver flees troopers on Rt. 104 in Wayne County

New York State Police say a Rochester woman is facing charges after a two-vehicle crash on State Rt. 104.

It happened around 4:10 p.m. when police tried stopping a larceny suspect near Lincoln Rd. in Ontario on Friday.

Tamiya Jackson, 30, a parolee, failed to stop and fled police.

State police say they shut off their emergency lights and near Monroe-Wayne County Line Rd., he observed Jackson drive through a red light.

At that point, her vehicle collided with another, which was carrying a family of four.

The adult and three children were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital. Some of the injuries sustained in the crash were serious, police said.

Jackson was also transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injuries. A number of charges are pending, but the investigation remains active.
