Congressman John Katko says he knows he did the right thing by voting to impeach President Donald Trump after the insurrection on January 6th.
He acknowledged in an interview with The Auburn Citizen that he likely frustrated some Republican voters, but his focus is on the facts.
“I’ve been trained that when you’re making a charging decision, you have to do two things: Tune out all extraneous matters and you simply have to apply the law to the facts,” Katko told The Citizen. “Nothing else really should matter, and that’s what I did.”
