Congressman John Katko, who represents the Syracuse-area including Cayuga County, spoke on the House floor last night supporting impeachment of President Donald Trump.
During his remarks, Katko made it clear that he intended to vote to impeach the President on Wednesday.
“To allow the President of the United States to incite this attack without consequences is a direct threat to the future of democracy. For this reason, I will vote to impeach this president tomorrow,” he said.
Katko opposed the resolution calling for the 25th Amendment to be invoked, which passed the House by a 223-205 vote.
