Trumansburg man sent text messages to protected party, faces felony contempt charge

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Trumansburg man on a felony contempt charge after an investigation in Interlaken.

John Orak, 52, of Trumansburg was found to have violated a court order on Christmas Day around 3 a.m. by sending several text messages.

The text messages were sent to the protected party in the court order, which resulted in a felony contempt charge.

He was arraigned and released to answer the charge at a later date.
