Deputies: Several charges after domestic incident in Interlaken

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of an Interlaken man following an investigation into a domestic incident on December 27th.

Deputies arrested Mario Ramirez, 23, of Interlaken on several charges including first-degree criminal contempt, unlawful imprisonment, endangering the welfare of a child, fourth-degree criminal mischief, and second-degree harassment.


The arrests stem from a domestic incident where it is alleged that Ramirez violated a Class A Order of Protection and subjected the victim to unwanted physical contact.

Deputies also reported that Ramirez physically restrained the victim and during the struggle and tore the victim’s jeans while trying to keep her from leaving the residence.

The incident occurred in the presence of a 9-month-old child, who was not hurt. Ramirez was released after arraignment.
