Mittelstadt, 22, split the 2019-20 season between Buffalo and Rochester. He tallied 25 points (9+16) in 36 AHL contests and ranked third on the Amerks with an average of .69 points per game.
The 2018 first-round pick has tallied 34 points (16+18) in 108 career NHL games with Buffalo.
