COVID-19 outbreak at prisons in Auburn, Moravia grows larger

There are now more than 100 confirmed cases of COVID-19 at the two state prisons in Cayuga County.

The Auburn Citizen reports that the Cayuga Correctional Facility, which is located in Moravia, has 98 total cases. More than 30 of them are active at this time.


Last week the union representing corrections officers at Auburn Correctional Facility reported around 180 individuals on staff there who had tested positive or were quarantined.

Visitation has been suspended at the prisons.
