DAILY DEBRIEF: When are the ‘Winter Blues’ more than just seasonal sadness? (podcast)

Seasonal depression, also known as seasonal affective disorder or the “winter blues,” is a subtype of depression or bipolar disorder that occurs and ends around the same time every year. The days are short, the skies are often gray, and winter can be tough for some in the Northeast. Dr. Dawn Gonsalves of MVP Health Care says that winter can be tough for a lot of people – even during a ‘normal year’. But, 2020 has been anything but normal. We tap into her expertise to learn about SAD, or those winter blues, and so much more.
