Social distancing and masks will be required, but the community is coming together on Monday following the tragic death of a Geneva teacher.
It’s happening at the Geneva Middle School (outdoors) near Mrs. Ashia Chilson-Gray’s room.
Chilson-Gray died Friday after an attack by her husband at their Waterloo home. He was charged with second-degree murder.
“We will honor our beloved Ashia with some music and a brief speech,” organizers said in a post to social media. “We ask that you bring a light (no flame please) to light up the school. From there we will walk around the Carter Road school complex to reflect on the lasting memories that we have from her and her tremendous heart.”
