Steuben County man leads police on pursuit, faces a number of charges

Police say a number of charges were filed after a pursuit ended with a suspect being taken into custody at his home.

On November 14th the Canisteo Village Police Department arrested Randall Plank Jr., 42, of Bath for fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle, obstruction of government administration, reckless endangerment, failure to obey a police officer, reckless driving, as well as a number of traffic violations.

The arrest stemmed from an attempted traffic stop in Canisteo, which resulted in Plank fleeing the scene.

He was later found by officers at his residence. The charges will be answered at a later date.

Police say they were assisted by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police.
