Inmate tests positive for COVID-19 at Auburn Correctional Facility

The Auburn Correctional Facility has its first case of COVID-19.

An inmate at the prison has tested positive for the virus, and is the first among the population to test positive, according to The Citizen.

The Department of Corrections and Community Supervision has been testing at prisons across the state.

There are a total of 1,709 cases across the entire state’s incarcerated population.

In October, Cayuga Correctional Facility dealt with its own outbreak of the virus.
