Officials in Wayne County say a COVID cluster has been identified at the DeMay Living Center, which is located in Newark.
The total number of cases at this point has risen to 61. Altogether 47 of the positive cases are residents of the nursing home, and 14 are staff members.
Officials with Wayne County Public Health and Rochester Regional Health System say just four of those cases have been hospitalized as result of infection.
At this point, contact tracing suggests that the virus moved from staff members to residents at the nursing home.
Wayne County Public Health is closely monitoring the situation, and continuing to work with DeMay Living Center to identify any additional cases.
Public health officials are reminding residents to wear masks and social distance.
