Charlie Brown holiday specials won’t appear on TV this year for the first time

The Charlie Brown holiday specials that appear on television every year won’t be there this time around.

It’s the first time it won’t be happening since they originally aired in 1965.

The rights to “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown,” “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving,” and “A Charlie Brown Christmas” were acquired by Apple TV Plus.

ABC has held the rights since 2000. At this point, it appears each will be free to stream through Apple TV Plus over their corresponding holiday weekends.

You can buy the DVDs here: “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown”“A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving”“A Charlie Brown Christmas.”
