The Canandaigua Police Department reports the arrest of a 24-year-old city resident following an investigation into counterfeit $100 bills.
Police say Hector Medina, 24, was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
He’s accused of passing two counterfeit $100 bills with the intent to defraud a local business.
They say that at the time of his arrest – 87 additional bills were seized.
Medina was taken to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
