Deputies: Geneva driver charged with aggravated DWI after October 2019 crash

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 43-year-old Geneva woman following a single-car crash on Route 31.

It happened nearly a year ago, according to deputies, who said the crash resulted in Gradwick being transported to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital on October 11th, 2019 in Arcadia.

Deputies say her vehicle was traveling east, when it crossed over the center line – through the westbound lane – striking a guard rail before coming to rest in a ditch.

Gradwick was found to be intoxicated by responding officers, and after consenting to a blood-draw, was found to have a BAC of 0.24%, which is three-times the legal limit.

While Gradwick was sent to the hospital for treatment, no other injuries were reported in the crash. She was charged with aggravated DWI and moving from lane unsafely.

The charges will be answered on September 30th at 4 p.m. in Arcadia Town Court.
