Police: Geneva man threatened person with knife, arrested on felony charge

The Geneva Police Department reports the arrest of a 32-year-old city resident following an investigation into an incident over the weekend.

Police arrested Jermaine Holloway, 32, of Geneva for third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, as a felony, as well as second-degree menacing.

He was held pending arraignment, but police said in a press release that Holloway possessed a ‘dangerous or deadly instrument’ and intended to use it against another individual.

The object was identified as a knife, and police say the victim was placed in reasonable fear of physical injury or death after Holloway displayed it.

No injuries were reported, according to police.
