It pushed the unemployment rate down to 8.4%.
The data provides a little hope for an economy that was otherwise decimated by the Novel Coronavirus, or COVID-19 – the unemployment rate remains high.
Before the Coronavirus Pandemic the unemployment rate was 3.5%. While it’s significantly lower than the near-15% unemployment figure that was seen just a few weeks ago – it shows that the nation’s economy has a long way to go.
