The Penn Yan Central School District offered updates this week on transportation issues related to the 2020-21 school year.
The district’s reopening team held a Facebook Live Session offering updates.
Superintendent Howard Dennis says bus transportation was a huge hurdle for the district to navigate.
He said that the district will use a one-student-per-seat policy, unless students are from the same households.
That means just 22 students will be able to be transported at a time on the bus.
Parents will also be required to electronically fill out a pre-screening questionnaire about their child’s general health before their student is allowed to board.
