A Wayne County woman was seriously hurt after a crash on Penfield Road near Five Mile Line Road in Monroe County on Tuesday.

It happened around 5 p.m. when deputies say a sedan was attempting to enter and cross Penfield Road from a coffee shop when a westbound pickup truck collided with it.

The driver of the sedan, a 63-year-old who was not named, but said to be from Macedon, had to be extricated by firefighters.

She suffered serious injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck, identified only as a 55-year-old, was taken to the hospital with chest pain.
