Earl Martin has purchased the former Hillside Children’s Center campus.
The sale will be completed between Martin and the Seneca County Industrial Development Agency for $65,000.
He was the only person to submit a bid on the 172-acre parcel. His plan is to use the land for expansion of the Deer Haven Park.
Martin already owns 3,000-acres of former Seneca Army Depot property. He owns Seneca Iron Works and Dairy Systems, which operates in Fayette. His plan is to expand the business on to depot property purchased in 2016.
The property was officially announced as ‘for sale’ in early-June. Proposals were due by July 17th, and window tours were offered.
The decision on selling the property came less than a month after the deadline for proposals.
