Two branches of the YMCA of Greater Rochester will shut down permanently due to the impact of the Novel Coronavirus.
The Victor branch will be one of those locations closed permanently, according to CEO George Romell.
The announcement came on Friday, and Romell said the pandemic has had a massive impact on the organization overall.
“It’s had a massive, massive impact on our organization,” he said.
Romell noted that a lack of use, membership, and participation were driving factors in the decision to close the Victor branch.
