CDC issues guidance on returning to class in the fall with focus on in-person learning

The CDC has released federal guidelines for schools to reopen in the fall.

They emphasize the importance of getting students back in a classroom, even though many parents, faculty, and administrators in the region have said it won’t be possible.

Federal officials are recommending teaching students to practice good hygiene, disinfecting surfaces regularly, having students maintain social distance, and wearing masks.

The CDC also suggests moving classes outside when possible and to keep them in groups or ‘pods’ for the entire day.
