On Saturday Governor Andrew Cuomo said there weren’t any specific rules to reopening that would prevent individual region’s from opening faster, or accelerating the opening process – if they continued meeting benchmarks.
“We are watching the numbers. We said two weeks between phases,” said Cuomo. “If you see no increase in any numbers, could you accelerate? Yes.”
The Memorial Day Weekend was the first since NY on PAUSE started where small gatherings up to 10 individuals were allowed.
It required that people maintain safe social distance during the process.
