The National Weather Service has upgraded the Freeze Watch to a Freeze Warning in anticipation of chillier-than-normal temperatures tonight that could impact sensitive vegetation.
Most of the region is included in the Warning, which runs from 1-9 a.m.
Cayuga, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates counties are included.
“Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. Cold
sensitive vegetation can be covered or brought inside if possible to protect from cold and frost,” the National Weather Service said in an update Monday afternoon.
Temperatures will stay unseasonably cold throughout the week. Click here to check out the full-forecast from the National Weather Service.
