High pressure is bringing us sunny skies this morning, but an active weather pattern will usher in a period of unsettled, cool weather. The first system to move through will be a low pressure moving along a front that is draped from the Midwest into the Mid-Atlantic. As this system draws near, clouds will increase this afternoon. The clouds will be thin at first, but will gradually thicken into an overcast.
Rain showers, and perhaps a rumble of thunder, will move through this evening, especially after 9 pm. Most of the rain should be through the area by 2 AM. Then, on Wednesday, rain is likely, mainly before 9 am with a chance of showers after 1 pm. It will be cooler with a high near 53 with a northwest wind 7 to 9 mph.
