A local healthcare worker shared her story with the coronavirus.
Samantha Price is a tech at a hospital. She spoke with 13WHAM-TV about her experience – suddenly developing a severe fever, which included a heavy, dry cough.
“The fever drained me. I had headaches, you have the fever headache, I felt awful,” Price said. “I never thought my fever would be that severe, I never though I feel that terrible.”
She’s in isolation still, but from the start on March 17th was worried about her family.
“I knew working in healthcare, at some point, I was going to get it, but I didn’t think it would happen this fast and not knowing where I got it from, or how I came into contact with it. That was scariest thing for me,” Price added.
“It doesn’t matter how healthy and fit you are, just stay home,” she said. “It doesn’t discriminate.”
