SHUT DOWN: Capitol building in Albany closed to visitors until further notice

The capitol building has been shut down.

Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that the building was being shut down to visitors out of an abundance of caution.

Assembly members Helene Weinstein and Charles Barron have not been in Albany since early March.

Both tested positive for the virus over the weekend.

An intense cleaning is expected to take place at the building to prevent further spread.
