On March 11th police arrested a 42-year-old following an investigation into sex abuse.
Dale Harbin, 42, of Slaterville Road was charged with multiple counts of first-degree sex abuse, second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child.
The charges stem from an investigation involving the Ithaca Police Department and FBI. Investigators found multiple instances of sexual contact with a child under the age of 11.
The incidents of abuse occurred over a period of more than three months.
Harbin was indicted by a Tompkins County Grand Jury and brought before Tompkins County Court for arraignment.
He was released on his own recognizance, according to the Ithaca Police Department.
“The Ithaca Police Department continues to seek justice for all child and adult victims. We ask that the public continue to assist us in this mission by reporting any crime or suspected instances of child abuse or maltreatment,” IPD said in a statement.
